As you know summer means sun, bugs, and sunburn. 

So here are few more quickie recipes for your health and skin, and even your pets.

Mosquito Repellent powderag00094.gif (7855 bytes)
1 oz of white clay powder
1 oz cornstarch
5 drops Eucalyptus globulus
5 drops Eucalyptus citriodora
3 drops Citronella

Mix into a large jar and screw on the lid let sit for 5 days
pour into a powder jar
sprinkle on exposed skin when going outside or camping gives a nice coverage.

Mexican oil liniment na01159a.gif (1012 bytes)

is an old Cajun recipe time tested remedy for bites of mosquitoes and fleas. Made with two pint of alcohol add  1 ounce ground up turkey rhubarb root 1 ounce star anise seeds ground 1 ounce cardamom pods ground fine  1/2 ounce fine cayenne pepper  60 drops of peppermint oil. mix in a large glass bottle let sit for 2 weeks stir once in a while strain through cheese cloth, decant and strain through a coffee filter. This formula lasts for years.

Easy Flea powder formula for your dog or cat
2 oz Clay powder or cornstarch
5 drops Pennyroyal
12 drops Eucalyptus
mix into a jar or can with a lid poke holes for a shaker or order our new 2 oz. powder shaker plastic bottle.
*on a small dog or kitten use less Pennyroyal oil as it can be toxic.

     Sun damage and Sunburn relief

  • 60 ml(2 oz) Aloe Vera gel
  • 60 ml(2 oz) Rose water
  • 4 drops of Chamomile blue
  • 2 drops of Artemisia arborescens
  • mix into 120ml (4 oz) spray bottle and apply generously till redness ceases.
Sun Tanning oil
