MASSAGE

make up a solution of essential oil in a base massage oil to a concentration of between 3 and 4 percent. There are 20-25 drops of essential oil to 1ml. This means that to 30ml of base oil, add between 20 and 30 drops of essential oil (or combined essential oils). For just one area of massage, pour a little base oil onto a saucer or palm of hand and add 2 or 3 drops of the required essential oil.

COMPRESSES

add 5-10 drops of essential oils to a small bowl of warm water. Soak a piece of clean cotton cloth in the water, then lay the cloth over the affected part and keep the area warm.

BATHS

add 5-8 drops of essential oils to 1 oz of milk or Solubol mix into a warm bath once it has been run, and enjoy a good soak. Foot or hand baths may be prepared using about 3-5 drops of essential oil to a bowl of warm water.

INHALATIONS

add 5-8 drops of essential oils to a bowl of steaming water, then place a towel over your head and the bowl and inhale the vapor for a few minutes. Alternatively, add 3-4 drops of essential oil to a handkerchief and hold this near the nose every few moments and inhale.

ORAL USE

add 2 drops of essential oils to one Tablespoon of Solubol or olive oil, stir this into juice or water. Drink plenty of water, 8-10 ounces.

ROOM FRESHENING

add a few drops of essential oils to a refresh potpourri. To make a room spray, add a few drops of essential oils to the water in the spray gun, and spray into the atmosphere. Essential oil burners may be purchased that are either electrically powered or heated by a light bulb. Add a few drops of essential oils to the hot plate of the burner.
