Carrier oils are fixed oils, meaning they are not volatile, like essential oils. Carrier oils are vegetable oils and are thick and greasy. Carrier oils are sometimes called base oils and become the vehicle in which the essential oils travel through your body, they slow down the rapid movement of the essential oils as they journey in and out of your system so that you enjoy the benefits longer. Essential oils are very concentrated and need to be diluted to be used properly. We offer you a fresh choice of cold pressed and organic vegetable and seed oils. | *Shea Butter makes a fine carrier. It is a little bit hard and stiff so you could melt it down and add another oil like apricot or almond. Use 1 part Shea to 2 parts oil, add your essential oils, then re-pour into another jar. It's quite simple. link: Empty Bottles |
